Welcome

January 26, 2011

Welcome to Farlain Lake Cottages!  We have two adjoining properties on picturesque Farlain Lake. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

General Info Regarding Both Properties

November 11, 2007

You would be required to bring bedding (including pillows), drinking water (although you can use the water from the tap for cooking and cleaning), towels, toilet paper, kitchen linen (tea towels and dish cloths), life jackets (required by law), and we do supply blankets.  Both cottages are very comfortable and which ever one you rent, you will enjoy your stay immensely.

N.B.  Near the Awenda Park Road there will be firewood for sale.  If you don’t have any with you, it might be a good idea to buy some at this point.  The stacked firewood at 85 Farlain is for our winter heat supply and not for general use.

The lake is quite shallow and has a very gradual slope towards the centre. There are bass and catfish if you like fishing.  The weekends are busy, but the week days are quiet and the lake is pretty much all yours.  You can enjoy swimming and we also have non-motorized water crafts for your use.  The bottom is sandy until you get to knee level and the bottom then changes to a soft soil.
